Z-World Inc. Named by the Sacramento Business Journal as a
Top 100 Fastest Growing Company
Davis, Calif., The Sacramento Business Journal recently named Z-World Inc. as one of the “Top 100 Fastest Growing Companies” in the Greater Sacramento area for 2004. While there are several criteria for being selected, a company must reside in at least one of the Sacramento, Yolo, Placer, or El Dorado counties.
Z-World Inc., who’s revenue saw a growth rate of nearly 50% from 2001 through 2003, placed 57th in the Top 100. Z-World’s revenues grew from a modest $15 million in 2001 to over $25 million in FY2003, with continued growth through 2004.
Norm Rogers (Founder and CEO) confirms that the growth is due to a focused and integrated approach to supporting Embedded Engineering. ”A great deal of growth is due to our RabbitCore™ modules and our Single Board Computers, that, when paired with Dynamic C© software provide a low-cost, highly functional Ethernet connection for industrial control units, medical devices, GPS equipment, and so many others.”
In an CMP Media 2004 Embedded Market Study Z-World was rated as the “most likely to use” and “most trusted” suppliers of 8-bit microprocessor solutions.
According to Robert W. Hooley, VP Sales & Marketing, “our newest technology offerings include advanced embedded Ethernet connectivity, WiFi and GPRS messaging. Companies like Abbott Labs (NYSE: ABT) and Pitney Bowes (NYSE: PBI) use our products to access and monitor their machines and equipment from around the world.”
